Uses
Serving Suggestion
This tea is exceptional both hot and iced. To prepare it iced, pour cold water over the leaves and leave to steep in the refrigerator overnight. Add sweetener to taste.
Good snacks to serve with this tea include cheese, shortbread cookies, and spiced nuts. If you’re in the mood for something larger, try a mild sandwich like ham, smoked salmon, or even cucumber with cream cheese. And, of course, there’s the traditional standby: scones or biscuits with jam! Yummy. 🙂
Physical Uses
This tea has a nice balance of flavors and caffeine content. The Assam is robust, while the Darjeeling gives it a lighter, sweet quality. It is excellent in the morning for a pick-me-up without too much heaviness, or in the evenings if you want to stay up awhile, but perhaps all night.
Metaphysical Uses
This tea is picked at beginning of Spring, around the Vernal Equinox For this reason, it captures the energies of balance and new promises. It is a powerful amplifier of other herbs, and can be used alongside them for beneficial effects. Sip this tea before doing your meditation / spellwork, to get a boost from that Spring energy (not to mention the caffeine)!
